What is your "Passion??? How are you Using it??? The word passion originates in Latin, meaning "to suffer."The word was created by religious scholars in the eleventh century to describe the willing suffering of Christ.(Remember the movie.....Passion of "The Christ"??..Uuummn).passions have become synonymous with pleasures and what excites us in modern culture. But consider that passion is originally defined as the moment of the deepest willing suffering of Christ for our good.It lifts the word from human desires to a monumental love willing to suffer. Every Christian knows that Christ gives us a foundational calling:to live as Christ. Christ met needs. And all our other passions serve to lead us to the unique needs we can meet. When we find ourselves willing to choose suffering for a cause, that cause may hold our life's mission. God often leads us to passions through suffering, experienced or perceived. As you considered your scars through life's journey, hopefully passion will begin to arise out of your darkest moments. You long to give the world what you failed to receive. Passion is also born out of observing the suffering of others,my passion for a New Nigeria was birthed in 2003 when I began to observe the sufferings of the people out there ...on the streets as a "Street Evangelist ' for many years.I lost my peace seeing family living and being birthed on the streets, children up to 9-10yrs of age that had not seen the roof of a home before....let alone lived in one!Drug addicts needing rehabilitation, families thrown out on the street out of poverty etc! I began to question our social welfare System and the role and responsibilities of the government to the people. The passion to effect a change in the social Order was birthed in me,I began to do what I could to effect that change in my own little corner through the Arm of my ministry..... CTEM~Christ The Ever Present Ministries),trying in whatever ways we had grace,to alleviate the sufferings of this categories of people,I sold almost all my properties, cars for this purpose or whatever will fetch funding.I was called a fool severally and I also became a voice to the downtrodden.Passion comes with a lot of sacrifice,it's a deep calling that only the Love of Christ can birth. From all of this,PFANN(Partnership~ For A New Nigeria )was fully birthed in 2007,a vehicle that I use as a voice to drive social change in the Nation. Joseph in the bible who was called as a deliverer unto his people suffered great pain in his life but his suffering gave him a sincere passion for reconciliation and human care.We don't naturally have passions for others;naturally we are too selfish. But when we were bought by Christ,we exchanged our hearts full of self seeking passions for God's heart. And now we share His passion. Do you see the need around you? We often miss this as a main point of the story of Joseph, but it is key. What was God doing through Joseph’s decades of suffering? Was he refining Joseph? Yes. Was he restoring Joseph to his family? Yes. But ultimately God intended Joseph’s life “to save many lives.” And by the end of Joseph’s life, he told his brothers it was all worth it. God said through His prophet.... Ezekiel 36:25-27 I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols.I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you;I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. Our hearts are new,and now what was cold is warm and full of compassion led and moved by His spirit We were built for this. What begins as a burden becomes the thing that fills our restless soul.... #GodBlessNigeria #DaughterOfTheKing
