YOUR LIFE IS LIKE THE LIGHT OF DAWN"

A Light that Shines Brighter

"The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day." Proverbs 4:18

When a person gets into their 50's and beyond, many people don’t tend to think of their lives as getting brighter and fuller. We tend to think of going downhill because that’s the way people talk about aging today. But that’s not God’s perspective on aging. God’s perspective is if you're a believer, your life is like the light of dawn—it starts out just like a little glimmer of light; and then as you live life and gain wisdom through life experiences, your life becomes a shining beacon for Him.I have done a check of everything I have done as I grow older,I found out I keep getting better and better and most interestingly also I found out that my older pictures of me are more finer and full of grace as I age.Infact one of my daughters in ministry was in my home last week, looking through my pictures over the years, she blurted out and said....Mummy I don't understand,is it that you are getting younger or older, you look more beautiful and glorious in your pictures as you age than in your younger years!I smiled, and responded to her that ...that's scriptures coming alive,I deep myself deeper and deeper into him daily,so his glory must rub off on me.

The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, “The Lord is upright; He is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in Him."

Psalm 92:12-15

That’s the way aging should be thought of spiritually. There should never be a time in our life, no matter how old we are, when we stop flourishing, growing, and being fruitful. There’s never a time to retire spiritually; never a time to be put on a shelf. I encourage you to allow your light to shine and brighten the lives of women around you. A word of encouragement can go a long way to younger women, as they navigate all the demands of life. Being a listening ear and praying for them will lift their spirits and give them the courage to move forward trusting God for all those situations that burden their hearts. As you share what God has done in your life, you infuse hope into young woman needing encouragement. Praying you'll be a light for Jesus
